How do I properly use glitters on my projects?
Glitter is used in the surface decoration industry, please lay glitter flat on the surface of the object as much as possible so that it can positively refract light, and the surface of the object is smoother and more shining;If you are using a large surface decoration project (such as flooring), we recommend that you do a small amount of testing first, and then adjust the density of the glitter in the paint or epoxy according to the actual situation to achieve the best results;
Adding glitter to the inside of the object (Snow Globe) it is recommended to choose the thinnest glitter material, because thin glitter can increase the stay time in the air and is not easy to sink, and can achieve the best snow falling effect;
Do glitters have a shelf life and how do I store them?
You just need to store them in a dry place, because glitters reflect light and take a long time to fade, even if the sun is in direct contact for a long time.
Difference in thickness of glitter material?
The thickness of the glitter determines the quantity and weight. For example, the use of two different thickness of the glitter, the total weight of 25 kg, the thickness of 25 um of the glitter can cover the area of 100 m², the thickness of 50 um due to double the thickness, resulting in the coverage of 50 m², under the same weight, the thin material than the thick can cover the area will be larger. (The effect of glitter thickness is particularly prominent in the composite leather industry).
The weight of the glitter (the thicker it is, the heavier it is) also affects how quickly it sinks in the epoxy, and thinner glitter is more reflective and brighter due to its lighter texture.
